DESCRIPTION

An approach to Spanish or Latin American literature. This course will give you the opportunity to get to know some of its most representative authors better, working on some of their texts. No prior knowledge of the subject is necessary.

After a theoretical introduction about a specific period, for which written and audiovisual documents are used, conclusions are drawn based on a detailed analysis of texts. They usually deal with topics such as the following: Modernism (Hispanic-American and Spanish), Generation of '27, García Lorca and Boom Literature (Hispanic-American: García Márquez, Cortázar, etc.).

Normally one of these topics is chosen to work on for a week. The contents covered in each course vary depending on the interests of the student.

In addition to ensuring that the student has the opportunity to get closer to the main authors and works in the history of Spanish and Latin American literature, the aim is to achieve an active participation of the student through the commentary of the text, written or oral. Likewise, the aim is to encourage the student to express their different opinions.
