Leonor Leal

Her intimate and personal style, her refined technique and profound personality have dazzled flamenco critics.


Born in Jerez de la Frontera in 1980, she starts dancing at the age of 9. She graduated in Classic and Spanish Dancing by the Superior Music School of Seville. She completed her academic formation with a career in Music Education. Her flamenco dance formation continued with important artists such as Manolo Marín, the Galvan family, Mercedes Ruiz or Andrés Peña, among others.

Her professional career starts with Antonio el Pipa. In 2003 she joins Andrés Marín’s flamenco company and will later join Ballet Flamenco de Andalucía, under the direction of Cristina Hoyos. She has also collaborated with artists such as Javier Barón, Joaquín Grilo, Rafael Campallo or Antonio Canales. In 2008 she premiered Leoleolé, the first performance of her own, in the Festival de Jerez. She then is awarded with the Outstanding Ballerina commendation at the Certamen Coreográfico de Madrid. In 2011 she performs ele ele for the first time in the Festival de Jerez and achieves the Breakout Artist award. In 2012 she premieres Mosaicos in Flamenco Viene del Sur. She also participates in important flamenco festivals abroad and often gives out courses in numerous schools, both nationally and internationally.
