Luis Córdoba

He was born into a Granada gypsy family with a great flamenco tradition in 1975. At the age of 11 he starts to play the guitar following the footsteps of his father, the well known flamenco guitarist Melchor Córdoba. Just a few years later he begins to work with his guitar in his grandfather’s “Zambra” and by the time he reaches the age of 16 he is playing every night at the “Tablao Jardines Neptuno”. Not long after he starts travelling abroad to perform with the flamenco group “Zincalé” in numerous shows in the UK, Morocco and Egypt, arranged by the Instituto Cervantes. Currently he is performing at peñas and festivals all over Andalusia and has won with his group the first prize at the flamenco contest organised by the peña of Baena (Cordoba) in 2006.

In 2011, she danced in “Todo el Carmen” with the teachers from the school at the I Festival de las Cuevas on the Sacromonte. At Carmen de las Cuevas he accompanies dance courses and gives individual guitar classes.
